In the Women’s game, Victory remain unbeaten after a one-all draw away to Wellington Phoenix. Holly Furphy put them ahead in the fortieth minute after Victoria Esson fumbled Sophie Harding’s cross. Makala Woods equalised in the sixty-third. Alicia Woods went off before half-time after earlier taking a blow to the head. Nicki Flannery made her first appearance of the season, while Jasmine Millar made her senior debut.

In the men’s team, the A-Leagues reports that Joshua Inserra has a back problem and may struggle to make the trip to Indonesia. Giovanni Savarese has also flagged heavy rotation for Wednesday night’s AFC Champions League Two match away to Persib Bandung.

After that, Central Coast Mariners visit AAMI Park in Sunday’s double-header. The Mariners will arrive after a two-nil defeat at Wellington, where Rafael Durán and Corban Piper scored two minutes apart early in the second half. Victory’s league match starts at three o’clock, before the Women face Newcastle Jets at quarter to six.
